Bio

Richard Cordero is a highly creative fashion and beauty photographer based in Brooklyn, NY, and available for assignments worldwide. Richard’s interest in art and more importantly in photography began at a very young age. He pursued his passion for photography through his high school and college education at the University of Florida. Although his major was in Aerospace Engineering, he decided to fuel his creative desires and focus more on advanced photographic techniques. During his time in Gainesville, Richard had the opportunity to meet a visual arts professor, Ray Hale, who would guide him in following his dreams to produce gorgeous images. After returning to Miami, he continued his visual arts education at the International Fine Arts College.

Richard took his education and practical life skills to the production side of the photographic world, working for one of Miami’s busiest full service still production companies, Select Productions. During that time Richard produced high-end fashion shoots for clients such as Vogue, Glamour, Nike and Top Shop. He also had the opportunity to photo assist top photographers such as Steve Hiett, Matthew Rolston and Tim Walker.

Currently, Richard strives to bring fresh, colorful images to his editorial and commercial clients. With an easy-going personality and sense of humor, Richard makes working together a breeze. Drawing on inspiration from his surroundings and people around him, he constantly delivers interesting, artistic images.

Richard looks at every job with an eagerness to produce perfect images. With his production background, Richard is able to manage every aspect of his shoots from inception to completion.
